Baby Eye Drops

So, little Kirsten had a bit of an eye infection, and we had to start giving her eye drops. It was pretty tough getting her to hold still so we could give her the drops at first, but we developed a method that works every time: The old 'bait-and-switch.

Notice how she stares at the camera the whole time, even after she recovers from the eye drops. Normally, we can get her to stare at the eye dropper itself as we administer the drops, but looking at the camera is just much more interesting apparently.

Family Pics

Back in August we took our first official family pictures at Sears. Kirsten was a month old and we took some of her in her blessing dress and then some of us as a family. If you would like an actual photo of any of these just let me know and I can send them to you.

Our First House!!!

We are now happy home owners as of this past Tuesday. The house is in Sandy and only 1.6 miles away from Will's work, he couldn't be happier about the new commute. The house was built in the 70's and the previous owners had a cat so we are having to do some home repairs before we move as in painting the whole house, redo the upstairs flooring and a whole lot of yard work. Our goal move in date is Halloween. Hopefully we can do it.
The house has 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms with a living room and family room. Enjoy the pics!

Family Vacation!

We went to Wisconsin to visit with Will's family and stayed at their family cabin near Minocqua. We also stayed at another cabin for a few days. The Schmidt clan included, mom, dad, James, Lindsay, Eric, Collin, Bradley, and of course ourselves. The trip was totally fun and just what we needed. We went water skiing, tubing, swimming, and jet skiing. The water in the lakes there is so warm! I couldn't believe how great the water was, I am used to the freezing cold lakes in Utah so that was a nice change. Plus the weather was perfect. Pretty much the whole trip was perfect.

This trip contained a lot of firsts for Kirsten

First time riding an airplane

First time meeting Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt, Great Grandpa Schmidt and James

First time jet skiing

First time at a camp fire

We also thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Culvers, probably a little too often ;)

The rest of the pictures are of us having a good time at the cabins.
